Tandoori Masala Tea

The smoky flavor of this Tandoori Masala Tea is a delight to the taste buds and a pleasure to the heart at any time of the day!


Tandoori Cha

¾ cup of water

1 tsp ginger

2 small cinnamon sticks

3 cups of milk

4-5 tsp black tea

2-3 tsp sugar

2 cardamom

Masala Cha

3 cups of water

1-inch ginger

1 cinnamon stick

5 black tea bags

3 cardamom

1 cup milk


1. In a large teapot, add water, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and milk

2. Bring it to a boil then turn off the heat

3. Add black tea, cardamom, and sugar to taste

4. Steep for 2 minutes with the lid on but no heat

5. Simmer for 10-12 minutes on low heat

6. Heat washed clay pot on high flame

7. Strain the tea into the clay pot before serving

8. Alternative tea, boil water with ginger and cinnamon

9. Reduce water to 2 ½ cups

10. Turn off the heat and tea bags and cardamom

11. Let it steep for 2 minutes

12. Add milk and simmer for 6-7 minutes

13. Add jaggery or brown sugar to taste before serving

14. Ready to Enjoy!
