Chicken Lollipop.


Chicken wings 5 pcs

Soy sauce 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Black pepper 1 tsp

Ginger paste 1/2 tsp

Garlic paste 1/3 tsp


All purpose flour 4 tbsp

Corn starch 2 tbsp

Red chilli paste 2 tbsp

Paprika 1 tsp

Egg 1


Lollipop chicken is best made with chicken wings. Using a sharp knife, make a cut all of the way around the leg just below the knuckle, cutting through the skins and tendons. Push the meat and shape them to balls on one side, place them all on a plate. Marinade the chicken pieces with soya sauce, black pepper, ginger, garlic paste and salt to taste. Leave it to marinade for 15-20 minutes.

In a bowl, add all purpose flour, corn starch, red chilli paste, Egg and paprika. Mix all ingredients well, add water as required (approximately 1/2 cup) to make the batter. Dip the chicken lollipop pieces into the batter gently to coat evenly.

Deep fry them in hot oil, at low medium flame for roughly 15 minutes. Serve hot with sauce!
