The Best Homemade Dinner Rolls / Pav Breads You’ll Ever Eat

You can eat these soft buttery Dinner Rolls (Pav Breads) with almost any other items on your dinner table, or you can devour them alone all by themselves.

For flour paste:

AP flour/ maida 2 tbsp

Water 2 tbsp

Milk 4 tbsp


Bread Dough:

AP flour/ maida 2.5 cups

Active dry yeast 1 tbsp

Salt 3/4 tsp

Milk 1/2 cup

Sugar 1/4 cup

Unsalted butter 3 tbsp

Egg 1 (room temperature)





Direction:


1. Add 2 tbsp of flour, water, and milk in a saucepan. Stir continuously until thickens.

2. Set aside and let it cool

3. In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it proof for 5 minutes.

4. Combine 2.5 cups flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add 1 whole egg and the milk yeast mixture to flour mixture. Knead for 10 minutes (add 1 tbsp of milk if needed).

5. Add 3 tbsp of butter to the mix and knead for another 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and soft.

6. Cover; let rest for 1 hr.

7. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces; shape into balls. Place in a greased 8-inch round pan. Cover; let rise in warm until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.

8. Brush egg wash.

9. Bake in preheated 375 degrees F oven for 20 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; brush with additional melted butter, if desired.

10. Serve warm.
