The Best Homemade Dinner Rolls / Pav Breads You’ll Ever Eat


For flour paste:

AP flour/ maida 2 tbsp

Water 2 tbsp

Milk 4 tbsp


Bread Dough:

AP flour/ maida 2.5 cups

Active dry yeast 1 tbsp

Salt 3/4 tsp

Milk 1/2 cup

Sugar 1/4 cup

Unsalted butter 3 tbsp

Egg 1 (room temperature)





Direction:


1. Add 2tbsp of flour , water, and milk in a sauce pan. Stir continuously until thickens.

2. Set aside and let it cool

3. In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it proof for 5 minutes.

4. Combine 2.5 cups flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add 1 whole egg, and the milk yeast mixture to flour mixture. Knead for 10 minutes (add 1 tbsp of milk if needed) .

5. Add 3 tbsp of butter to the mix and knead for another 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and soft.

6. Cover; let rest for 1 hr.


7. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces; shape into balls. Place in greased 8-inch round pan. Cover; let rise in warm until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.


8. Brush egg wash.


9. Bake in preheated 375 degrees F oven for 20 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; brush with additional melted butter, if desired.


10. Serve warm.
