Simple Hakka Style Chili Chicken

With the hot, saucy-spicy, and tangy texture of this dish, this Hakka Style Chili Chicken is one of the best chicken dishes you'll ever make.


For Marination:

Chicken thighs 500 gm

Salt 1/2 tsp

Garlic Ginger Paste 1.5 tbsp

Red chili powder 1 tsp

Sugar 1/4 tsp (optional)

Soy Sauce 1 tsp

White vinegar 1 tbsp

Corn flour (corn starch) 1 tbsp

AP flour (maida) 2 tbsp

For Gravy:

Cooking oil 3 tbsp

Thinly sliced garlic 4 cloves

Thinly sliced ginger 1 tbsp

Onions 1.5 cups

Green Bell Pepper 1

Salt 1/2 tsp

Chopped green chili 2-3 pcs

Chili sauce 1 tbsp

Soy sauce 2 tbsp

Water 1/2 cup

Cornstarch slurry 1 tbsp

Pepper 1/2 tsp

Green Onions to garnish
