How to Make Chicken Shami Kabab

Our friends go crazy for this Chicken Shami Kabab!



Ingredients:

2 cup of water

400-gram boneless chicken

1 cup soaked split chickpeas

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1 bay leaf

1 small cinnamon stick

2 cardamom

2 cloves

5 dry red chilies

1 tbsp coriander seeds

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp salt

¼ cup fresh mint leaves

¼ cup fresh coriander leaves

4 chopped green chilies

¼ cup chopped onion

1 tsp lime juice

½ tsp garam masala

½ cup fried onion

2 egg

1 tbsp cornstarch



Instructions:

1. In a medium-size pot, add chicken, split chickpeas that have been soaked for 1-hour, ginger garlic paste, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, dry red chilies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and salt

2. Cook for 10 minutes with a lid on

3. Remove lid and stir and cook until water evaporates

4. Remove the bay leaf, cardamom, and cloves using a spoon

5. Add fresh mint, coriander, green chili, chopped onion, chicken mixture, garam masala, fried onion, and lime juice into a food processor

6. Blend well

7. Transfer to a bowl and add an egg and cornstarch or cornflour

8. Rub oil on your hand before mixing and shaping the kabab

9. Whisk egg in a small bowl

10. Coat the Shami kabab in whisked egg

11. Transfer to a skillet to fry until golden brown

12. Ready to Enjoy!
