Make this favorite sweet at home with these simple ingredients. Reminds you of shoan papri but not as tedious to make! Enjoy these barfis straight out of your kitchen.
Ghee 1/2 cup
Gram flour/ Besan/ Chickpea flour 1 cup
Semolina / Suji 1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar 1/3 cup
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Heat 1/2 cup ghee in a pan.
Add gram flour (besan) and suji, saute for 6-7 minutes at low-medium flame.
Stir and sauté until the colour browns and becomes fragrant.
Reduce heat, add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Stir and mix well at low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Add sliced pistachio, almonds or any dried fruits of your choice.
Grease a pan/mould and pour in the flour mixture. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Remove from pan and cut into bit size burfi pieces.
Best served cold!
