Quick and easy to cook, fish is an excellent choice for any occasion. Pairing small fish with lime leaves and shredded coconut brings intense flavor to the dish that you'd absolutely devour!
Small fish 300 gm
Oil 3 tbsp
Onion sliced 1 cup
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Shredded Coconut 1/4 cup
Lime leaves 2-3 pcs, finely chopped
Water 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves 1/8 cup
Green chilli 4 pcs
Wash the fish with salt and water, thoroughly 3-4 times to remove any strong smell
In a non-stick pan, add oil, sliced onions, red chili powder, turmeric powder, shredded coconut, lime leaves finely chopped, shredded coconut. Add the washed fish, 1/2 cup water and salt to taste.
Mix everything together. Pat down and flatten the fish mixture evenly across the pan, so everything will cook fast and evenly.
Turn on flame, cover and cook for 5 mins over high heat.
Remove lid and give everything a stir. Add chopped coriander leaves and halved green chilli. Cover and cook again for 8-10 mins at low heat.
Remove from heat and serve hot over rice.
Enjoy alongside with white rice and your choice of vegetables!
