Making Sweet And Savory Malpua Two Ways


Sweet Malpua

170-gm jaggery

1 cup warm water

1 cup rice flour

½ cup wheat flour

¼ cup desiccated coconut

½ cup water

¼ tsp salt

Savory Malpua

1 cup rice flour

½ cup whole wheat flour

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp salt

¾ tsp baking powder

1 tsp garlic ginger paste

1 ¼ cup water

1 tbsp chopped onion

4 chopped green chilies

2 tsp fresh coriander

Instructions for sweet malpua:

1. Dissolve jaggery in warm water

2. Gradually stir in rice flour and wheat flour

3. Add desiccated coconut, salt and water

4. Beat for 5 minutes then let it rest for 30 minutes

5. Deep fry in medium heat until golden brown

6. Ready to Enjoy!

Instructions for savory malpua:

1. Mix rice flour with whole wheat flour, cumin powder, salt, baking powder, garlic ginger paste and water

2.Add chopped onion, green chilies and fresh coriander

3. Rest the mixture for 30 minutes

4. Deep fry until golden brown

5. Ready to Enjoy!
