Protein packed Chola Chaat Recipe

Ingredients:


  • 1½ tbsp cooking oil

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • 2 cups boiled chola (chickpeas)

  • ½ tsp red chili powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • ¾ tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • ½ tsp black salt (bit lobon)

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • ¾ cup cucumber, chopped

  • 1 medium tomato, chopped

  • 2 green chilies, chopped

  • 3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • Lime juice to taste





Instructions:

  1. Heat 1½ tbsp of cooking oil in a pan.

  2. Once the oil is warm, add ½ tsp of cumin seeds and sauté for 20-30 seconds.

  3. Add 2 cups of boiled chola (chickpeas) and mix well.

  4. Add ½ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ¾ tsp cumin powder, and 1 tsp garam masala. Mix well.

  5. Add ½ tsp of black salt (bit lobon) and sauté for 3-4 minutes over high heat.

  6. Once done, transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool.

  7. Add 1 small chopped onion, ¾ cup chopped cucumber, 1 medium chopped tomato, 2 chopped green chilies, and 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.

  8. Season with salt and lime juice to taste. Mix well.

  9. Serve and enjoy your protein-packed Chola Chaat!
