Fresh home cooked food beats take-out food any day of the week! Try this simple and delicious recipe of Seekh kabab made with the perfect blend of fresh herbs and spices.

Ingredients

Ground meat 1/2 lb

Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Mint leaves 2 tbsp

Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1/2 tsp

Garlic paste 1 tsp

Ginger paste 1 tsp

Green chilli 1 tsp

Crushed fried onion 1 tbsp

Finely chopped onion 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Butter 1 tbsp

Directions

In a mixing bowl, take ground meat, coriander leaves, mint leaves, red chilli, cumin and coriander powder, ginger and garlic paste, green chilli. Add crushed fried onions (beresta) and also finely chopped onions, squeeze out the excess water. This will keep the kabab mixture dry. Add salt to taste and lastly butter. Mix everything together, cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 450 F. Allow the oven to heat up while you prepare the kababs. Grease a baking tray lightly with oil. Grab a small handful of the mince mixture and shape it over the skewers. Make sure to smoothen it so that there are no cracks, or else the kabab will fall apart while cooking/ baking. Repeat the same process for all skewers.

Once the oven is hot, place the baking tray inside and bake the kababs for 10 mins. Remove and turn them over, brush this side with butter/oil and let them bake for another 10 mins.

If not bake, you can also grill these kababs on a nonstick grill/fry pan on the stove.

Serve hot with a salad alongside a dipping sauce! Enjoy!
