Tomato Chutney

A simple homemade dish made with fresh tomatoes.


Ingredients

Ripe Tomato cubed 4 cups

Green chilli sliced 4 pcs

Garlic sliced 1 tbsp

Onion chopped 1/2 cup

Red chilli powder 1 tsp

Water 2 cups

Salt to taste

Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Oil 2 tbsp

Dry red chilli 3 pcs

Onion sliced 1/2 cup

Garlic sliced 1 tbsp

Direction

Clean and cut the tomatoes into small pieces.

In a large saucepan, add chopped tomato, sliced green chilli, sliced garlic, chopped onion, red chilli powder and water. Cover with lid and heat in high flame for 15 mins. Bring everything to a boil until the tomatoes have soften.

In a separate pan, heat oil and add sliced onion, sliced garlic. Add in dry red chilli once the onions and garlic have turned golden brown. Add all the ingredients from the pan into the tomato mix.

Stir everything together, add roasted cumin powder. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot!
