Okra fry / Dharosh Bhaji



Ingredients

Okra 1 lb

Onion sliced 1

Garlic sliced 4 cloves

Green chilli chopped 3 pcs

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Salt to taste


Directions

Wash okra and cut the head and tail off each. Chop okra into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pan at medium-high heat. Add onions, garlic, green chilli and saute for couple minutes. Add okra pieces, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Cook for 10 minutes while continuously stirring. Okra tends to be sticky, keep stirring so it does not stick to the pan and burn. Add water as required.

Serve hot! Best served with rice or bread.
