All the classic flavors in one easy to make dish
Ingredients:
4 tbsp cooking oil
1 medium potato
¼ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp salt
5 eggs
1 bay leaf
3 dry red chilies
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cardamom
¾ tsp cumin
1 medium onion
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp red chili
¾ tsp coriander
1 ½ tsp salt
2 small tomato
1 cup soaked red lentil
3 cups water
4 green chilies
½ tsp roasted cumin
2 tbsp fresh coriander
Instructions:
1. Add cooking oil to pan with medium cut potato, turmeric and salt
2. Fry for 5-6 minutes then remove from heat
3. Add boiled eggs and fry for 2 minutes then remove from heat
4. Add bay leaf, dry red chilies, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cumin, sliced onion, garlic and ginger paste, turmeric, red chili and coriander
5. Pour a splash of water and sauté for 7-8 minutes on medium-high heat
6. Salt to taste
7. Add chopped tomatoes and soaked masoor dal
8. Add the stir-fried potatoes, pour water and cook for 7-8 minutes on low-medium heat
10. Garnish with green chilies
11. Turn off the heat, cover with lid and leave for 10 minutes for all the flavors to combine
12. Ready to enjoy!
