Bhapa Dim With Dal

This delicious dal recipe is sure to become a new favorite. Have it with rice , roti or your favorite flatbread.




Ingredients:

2 cups water

1 cup soaked chana dal

¼ tsp turmeric

½ tsp salt

5 eggs

1/8 tsp turmeric

¼ tsp salt

2 small cinnamon sticks

4 cardamom

3 cloves

1 bay leaf

5-6 pepper

1 medium onion

3 green chilies

3 garlic cloves paste

1 ½ tsp ginger paste

1 tsp coriander

½ tsp red chili

¼ tsp turmeric

½ tsp cumin

2 small tomato

¾ tsp salt

½ cup coconut milk

1 cup hot water

1 tbsp coriander

3 green chilies



Instructions:

1. Cook soaked chana dal in a pot with water, turmeric and salt until soft

2. Whisk eggs with turmeric and salt

3. Steam the cook the eggs for 15 minutes

4. Cut the steamed eggs into square pieces and stir fry in oil

5. In a pan, add cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, pepper, sliced onion, green chilies, garlic and ginger paste

6. Splash of water

7. Add coriander, red chili, turmeric, cumin and sauté for 5-6 minutes on medium high heat

8. Add tomatoes, salt, coconut milk and chana dal

9. Pour hot water and add roasted cumin and salt to taste

10. Add egg pieces and garnish with fresh coriander and green chilies

11. Ready to enjoy!
