Aloo Masala with Poori

You just can't go wrong with this Aloo Masala recipe. Add some butter over the entire thing and - it's almost too good.

Serving Size: 4



3 Tbsp Cooking Oil

4-5 Pc Dry Red Chili

¼ Tsp Mustard Seeds

½ Tsp Cumin Seeds

1 Tsp Split Black Gram

1 ½ Tsp Fresh Ginger

¼ Tsp Asafoetida

2 Pc Onion

½ Tsp Turmeric

1 Tsp Salt

8-10 Pc Roasted Cashew

10 Pc Curry Leaves

2-3 Pc Green Chili

3 Cup Diced Boiled Potatoes

¾ Cup Water

1 Tbsp Butter


1 cup All-Purpose Flour

1 Tsp Salt

1 Tbsp Cooking Oil

½ Cup Warm Water


2 Tbsp Fresh Coriander


1. In a pan, add cooking oil, dry red chili, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, split black gram, fresh ginger, asafoetida, onion, turmeric, roasted cashew, curry leaves, green chili, and potatoes along with some water

2. Stir until soften then add some butter, garnish with fresh coriander, and set aside

3. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, cooking oil, and warm water until a dough consistency

4. Create 4 -5 small dough then use a rolling pin to create a 5-inch diameter

5. Fry in oil until fluffy and golden brown

6. Serve poori with potato masala
