This super easy dal is about as hearty as it gets!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp cooking oil
4 garlic cloves
½ cup onion
½ tsp salt
¾ tsp turmeric
1 ½ cup masoor dal
½ cup green bell pepper
½ cup yellow bell pepper
4 cups hot water
¾ tsp salt
5-6 green chilies
1 medium tomato
¾ tsp roasted cumin
2 tbsp fresh coriander
Instructions:
1. Add cooking oil in a large pot along with sliced garlic, onion, salt to taste, and turmeric
2. Stir in masoor dal that has been soaked for a minimum of 30 minutes
3. Add green and yellow bell pepper
4. Pour hot water
5. Salt to taste
6. Add green chilies, tomato pieces and roasted cumin
7. Garnish with fresh coriander
8. Ready to enjoy!
