Chicken with Coriander & Mint

A quick & easy chicken recipe that is packed with freshness and bold flavors. Eaten with steamed white rice or roti, this chicken recipe makes a great midweek supper.

Coriander leaves 1 cup

Mint leaves 1/2 cup

Green chilli 8 pcs

Plain yogurt 4 tbsp

Onion sliced 1 cup

Chicken 1 kg

Garam masala 1 tsp

Garlic paste 1 tsp

Ginger paste 1 tsp

Salt to taste


  • In a food processor, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, chopped green chilli, plain yogurt. Blend and make into a smooth paste. Set aside.

  • Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and saute until they are translucent.

  • Add chicken pieces and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, continuously stirring.

  • Add garam masala, garlic paste, ginger paste and salt to taste. Stir and mix everything.

  • Cover and cook the chicken for 20 minutes over medium heat, occasionally stirring.

  • Uncover and add the coriander & mint paste, stir and mix everything. Cover and cook the chicken for another 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  • Once the chicken is cooked through and you've reached the desired amount of gravy, remove from heat.

Serve hot alongside white rice or roti. Enjoy!
